A Honomu home was destroyed by fire early Saturday morning.

Nine units responded to the 3:13 a.m. alarm, according to a Fire Department statement, with the first unit arriving at 3:30 a.m.

Arriving firefighters found the single-family home on Old Mamalahoa Highway fully involved with most of the structure collapsed.

Neighbors reported the fire and authorities were unable to locate the home’s occupant(s) of structure, the release said.

Estimated damage was $194,000, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
